Ink on paper has been our passion since 1973. High-quality, custom print work of all shapes and sizes is what we’ve built our reputation for excellence on. However, we’re much more than exceptional print. Over the decades, we’ve expanded into a full-service digital and print communications firm, offering in-house creative servicesomni-channel marketing solutions, data-driven direct mail, branded merchandiselarge-format printing, customized direct-to-print Storefront platforms, as well as fulfillment and warehousing.

    Lammot Copeland founded Reports, Inc., a newsletter publishing and printing company based on Fourth Street in Wilmington, DE—laying the foundation for what would eventually become Associates International.

    1984

    Reports, Inc. acquires Associates International and adopts its name, shifting focus to printing and typesetting while selling off the newsletter division.

  • 1992

    1992

    This was a transformative year for Associates International. We relocated to 300 Water Street in Wilmington, DE, marking a new chapter in our growth. That same year, we acquired our first 4-color press—expanding our production capabilities—and officially closed the typesetting side of the business to focus on evolving industry demands.

    Associates International acquires Enterprise Printing, strengthening our capabilities and expanding our client base in the commercial print market.

  • 1996

    1996

    Associates International begins doing business as Associates Graphic Services (AGS), reflecting our expanded focus on comprehensive graphic and print solutions.

    1998

    AGS takes its first step into digital printing with the purchase of an Indigo TurboStream Digital Press, marking the beginning of our evolution into high-quality, on-demand print solutions.

    This was a pivotal year for AGS. We relocated to a larger, more advanced facility on Rogers Road in Wilmington, DE to support our rapid growth. Shortly after the move, we enhanced our production capabilities with the installation of a screen platesetter and several key presses—including a six Color Heidelberg CD 74 with aqueous coater, Heidelberg Printmaster, and an Indigo UltraStream press.

    This is the year, AGS acquired DocuSource, a Wilmington, DE-based digital printing company—expanding both our digital print capabilities and regional footprint. This milestone year also marked our entrance into direct mail services, significantly enhancing our offering to clients. To support growing demand and quality expectations, we added another six-color Heidelberg CD 74 press with an aqueous coater to our production fleet.

    AGS earns FSC® Certification, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible printing practices.

    This was the year Ai’s Marketing Director set out to elevate our brand—and it paid off. That year, we earned multiple prestigious industry honors, including four Neographics Awards, two Benjamin Franklin Awards, and a Gold Ink Award for excellence in design and print production. We also received a global CIPPI Award, recognizing us for the greatest improvement in quality and customer responsiveness through process automation.

    Ai’s Marketing Director again set out to elevate our brand. That year, we earned multiple accolades including a Gold MarCom Award, a Gold Ink Award, three Benjamin Franklin Awards for direct marketing excellence, two Neographics Print Awards, and two NAPL Awards for Marketing Excellence.

    This is also the year AGS reverted the company’s name back to Associates International, and launched Storefront Solutions.

    This year, we proudly earned our second First Place CIPPI Award—recognized globally for print innovation and for achieving the most significant improvement in production quality and customer responsiveness through advanced process automation.

    In November of 2011, Associates International (Ai) acquired Farley Printing Company, significantly expanding our footprint and service capabilities.
    Founded in 1973, Farley Printing had proudly served the Wilmington, DE area for over three decades, offering high-quality commercial print and communication services. The acquisition brought a team of seasoned print professionals to Ai, along with enhanced commercial print capacity and expertise—strengthening our ability to serve a growing client base with excellence.

    This is the year we installed a Moll folder-gluer to expand our capabilities for direct mailers and packaging alike, enabling greater precision and efficiency.

    The addition of the FlowMaster RS to Associates International’s production floor marked a pivotal upgrade in our direct mail and fulfillment operations. As a high-speed, modular inserting system, the FlowMaster RS aligned perfectly with our mission to deliver efficient, scalable, and innovative print and mail solutions for complex, data-driven marketing campaigns.

    In the midst of Covid, this year marked a major milestone for us with the installation of our KAMA die-cutter, expanding our packaging capabilities and boosting production efficiency.

    We took a major leap forward in print innovation with the installation of our first cut-sheet inkjet press—the Konica Minolta KM-1e UV Inkjet—bringing enhanced quality, speed, and versatility to our digital pressroom. To further optimize performance across run sizes, we added the Canon V1350 for short-run, on-demand color production and the Canon Titan 6250 for high-speed, long-run black and white output.

    At the same time, we completed a comprehensive upgrade of our entire technology platform. This included the implementation of a state-of-the-art e-commerce solution (Infigo), a powerful MIS system (printIQ), and fully automated proofing and imposition workflows (autoFlow & Impostrip). These systems are seamlessly connected through Enfocus Switch, enabling a truly integrated and intelligent automation environment.

    We expanded our direct mail services to include multi-channel targeting. With Direct Mail Boost, clients can target and retarget their defined audience across Google and Meta platforms, expanding their reach, reinforcing their message, and maximizing their campaign performance. BOOST also offers other optimizations such as Personalized QR codes, mail tracking, Lead Match, and ten other enhancement services.
