Inside Ai: Getting to Know One of Our CSRs, Marissa Wellons

Employee Spotlight: Meet Marissa Wellons

At Associates International, our people are at the heart of everything we do. This month, we’re excited to spotlight Marissa Wellons (or “Riss,” as most people know her), a valued member of our Client Services Team who plays an essential role in ensuring projects move seamlessly from start to finish.

As a Client Service Representative, Marissa serves as a vital link between clients and our internal production, creative, and operations teams. She helps translate client needs into clear, actionable details, coordinates timelines and deliverables, and proactively manages communication to keep projects on track. Whether she’s responding to day-to-day requests or troubleshooting unexpected challenges, Marissa brings a steady, solutions-focused approach that helps ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

What sets Marissa apart is her commitment to both precision and relationships. She doesn’t just manage projects—she builds trust. Clients rely on her responsiveness and follow-through, while internal teams appreciate her organization, clarity, and collaborative mindset. Her ability to keep multiple moving parts aligned makes her an important contributor to delivering a smooth and positive client experience.

After more than two years with Associates International, Marissa has grown into a deeply knowledgeable and dependable resource within the Client Services Team. Her understanding of both client expectations and internal workflows allows her to anticipate needs before they arise and help guide projects efficiently from concept through completion. Over time, she has become an integral part of the client experience and a strong example of the teamwork and dedication that defines our culture.

Can you tell us a little about your role and what you do here at Ai?

I work as a Client Service Representative, helping clients move through their projects from beginning to end. I stay in close contact with them and our internal teams to keep everything on track and handle anything that comes up. I focus on building strong relationships, making sure clients have a good experience, and supporting them so their projects turn out well.

How long have you worked at Ai?

I’ve been with the company for a little over two years.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

What I enjoy most about this job is the people I get to work with—both clients and internal teams. There’s a strong sense of teamwork and support, and I really enjoy building relationships and collaborating to solve problems. Everyone is willing to step in and help each other, which makes it rewarding to see projects come together successfully.

What’s one fun fact about you that most people don’t know?

One interesting thing about me is that I recently got into collecting Lorcana cards, and it’s become such a fun little hobby. I was drawn to it partly because my Nana was a big Disney collector, and I’ve always appreciated her Disney memorabilia. My favorite part is cracking open a new pack and getting that tiny rush of maybe this is the rare one. I also really love the artwork—many of the cards are genuinely beautiful and feel like small pieces of art.

Bonus fun fact: I’ve started throwing axes! I’m definitely not a pro, but it’s been a blast and makes for a really fun outdoor activity. I joined a local league about a year ago and I’m absolutely loving it.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

I really love watching movies—at home, with friends, or in a theater. If I miss seeing a favorite on the big screen, I’ll totally go back later just for the experience. Seeing Jaws in theaters was incredible, and watching Coraline in 3D felt like a completely different movie with all the extra little details popping out. I really like getting to experience movies in different ways like that.

How has your career grown or evolved since joining the company?

Before joining this company, I had very limited knowledge of the print industry. Over the past two years, I’ve learned so much thanks to the support and expertise of our team. The experience has completely changed my perspective and given me a greater appreciation for the work that goes into print and mail production. Now, whether I’m checking my mailbox or browsing products in a store, I find myself noticing and appreciating details that I would have overlooked before.

If you could describe the company culture in three words, what would they be?

Supportive, collaborative, team-oriented.

Thank You, Marissa

Marissa’s commitment to client service, relationship building, and teamwork helps make us stronger every day. We’re grateful for the positive energy, dedication, and support she brings to both our clients and our team.

Thank you, Marissa, for all you do—and for helping create exceptional experiences every step of the way.
